| How It All Started |

| It all started in October 10th, 1910, a harsh anti-gambling law became in effect in Nevada. Any gambling activity was strictly prohibited. One could not even flip a coin to decide on a price for a drink, an old western tradition. The law forbid all sorts and ways of gabling “forever”. But “forever in Las Vegas did not last long even at that time, less than a month to be more precise. Underground game rooms protected by the secrecy of a special password quickly emerged all over Nevada. Gambling continued to be widely accepted but still illegal up until 1931 when finally local legislature passed a bill to legalize gambling officially in the state of Nevada. The rest is now the history… Las Vegas is the gambling and entertainment capital of the world. |
